Dusty Roads Ranch is my private outdoor photography property in Wellsville, Kansas, created as a creative space for photographers and clients to enjoy natural light, seasonal blooms, and thoughtfully styled outdoor sets.
The ranch features flower fields, rustic structures, and curated props that change throughout the season, offering a variety of unique backdrops for portrait sessions, mini sessions, and creative shoots.
Photography Areas & Features
Prop Barn
The Prop Barn offers four photogenic sides and a wide variety of props available for use during sessions. All props must be returned to their original location in the same or better condition prior to leaving the ranch.
Flower Fields & Swing
Seasonal flower fields featuring zinnias, sunflowers, and wildflowers. The flower field swing is available in spring and fall, depending on bloom cycles.
Images are subject to change throughout the season. Some photos may reflect early or late-season blooms. If you have a specific request, please reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
Glass House (10×10 Set)
A seasonal “she shed”–style set with décor that changes throughout the year. French doors open to the west, making it a favorite spot for sunset images. A small porch overlooks the flower fields.
Rental Rates
Normal Rates
$25/hour for use of both outdoor studio areas
2-hour minimum
Up to 2–3 photographers may be on the property at the same time
Mini Session Rates
$20 per 20-minute session
One designated area of the ranch

Important Information & Ranch Rules
To protect the property and ensure a positive experience for everyone, all photographers, assistants, and clients are required to follow the rules below.
Access & Waivers
A liability waiver must be signed by photographers and a separate waiver for clients/families
Waivers are located on the clipboard inside the white glass building near the carriage area
Property Guidelines
Do not pick or damage flowers
Use only established pathways in the fields
Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave
No cake smashes, glitter, or smoke bombs
No dogs or animals are permitted on the property
Do not enter the indoor studio or large building
Parking & Amenities
All vehicles must be parked in the gravel drive near the back building
There is no public restroom on site
Closest restrooms are located at Casey’s or Bert’s on Hwy 33
Bug spray is encouraged and not provided
Props & Timing
Report any broken or damaged props immediately
Props must be returned to the prop barn in the same or better condition
No refunds for unused time
If you exceed your booked time by more than 15 minutes:
Venmo $25 for up to 30 additional minutes
$25 for every additional 30 minutes after
Payment
All fees (deposit and balance) must be paid prior to photographing any clients
Accepted payment methods: Venmo, check, or cash
